In 1984, Bob McGrain moved his family out from the East Coast in order to open a family owned, family operated auto dealership in Beaverton, Oregon called Northwest Jeep. He wanted to run the store based on the philosophy that if “We don’t take care of the customer, someone else will.” With this philosophy and being the low price leader in the Portland metro area, Northwest Jeep became one of the highest selling Jeep stores in the West. Bob also envisioned having the parts and service departments open late to work with customer’s busy schedules. So he created an early drop off box and extended hours to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday to better accommodate customers.

In June 2009, a Chrysler and Dodge franchises became available and Bob jumped at the chance to have all three products under one roof. Although the industry had fallen on hard times, the thought of expanding the service and parts departments to serve all the Jeep, Chrysler, RAM and Dodge customers in the area was too good to pass on. Not to mention the added inventory of trucks, luxury cars, minivans, and muscle cars that were unavailable before. Bob ran with the opportunity and Northwest Jeep Chrysler Dodge RAM was formed. Later that year, Sprinter was added to the extensive inventory and Business Link was introduced to our service customers.
