Primary responsibilities:
• Supervise all aspects of the Parts Department
• Maximize sales volume and gross profit for the Parts Department
• Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction in the parts department
• Maintain high standard for associate satisfaction in the parts department
• Provide disciplined inventory management to achieve maximum results
• Set the tone by providing an optimistic, exciting, nurturing environment for all parts associates
• Maintain control over all issues related to the profitable operation of the Parts Department
focused toward maximum net profit retention
• Protect customer privacy by complying with all directives of company Information Security
Program
• Maintain high ethical standards, work habits, and Customer Satisfaction standards supporting
all aspects of our company creed card
Reports to:
• Fixed Operations Director / General Manager
Primary Duties:
• Daily Monitoring of sales performance by all parts counter associates in relation to forecast by
utilizing daily tracking tools
• Daily monitoring and tracking of ASR parts availability and lost sales
• Monitor parts obsolescence daily
• Monitor and supervise factory stock order process and parts obsolescence return process
• Work with other fixed operations department managers on daily problem resolution
• Daily Monitoring of CSI index for current month and taking corrective action for negative results
• Report daily to fixed operations director in all aspects of parts department operations; identify
problem areas, performance against goals, CSI progress etc.
• Discuss daily with fixed operations director any parts / service interface issues that may be
negatively impacting goal attainment or compromising effective inventory management
• Work daily with individual parts counter associates on sales performance, up-sell opportunities,
CSI issues etc.
• Monitor out of line expense conditions and work with fixed ops manager and controller for
resolution
• Monitor out of line asset management conditions related to the parts department. i.e.: open
parts tickets, parts days supply, parts obsolescence, special order parts, parts WS receivables,
parts returned checks etc. and provide problem resolution through disciplined action plans
• Consistent attendance to dealership weekly asset meeting to stay informed of above conditions
• Work with all parts department associates to ensure that daily instruction and formal training is
adequate to prepare all associates for successful completion of individual job objectives
• Counsel service department associates in areas of deficiency within their area of performance
Responsible for the Following Schedules:
1. Open parts ticket report / WIP report
2. Daily DOC / MIS
3. WS receivable schedule
4. Other parts receivables
5. Parts returned checks & receivable schedule
6. Various associate productivity and inventory management tracking reports provided by
DMS
